Crosspoint Weekly Devotional April 27- May 2

Crosspointchurchtx   -

Each day, take time to meditate on the scripture, reflect on the questions, and pray for
guidance and strength to live out your faith. May this devotional help you deepen your
relationship with Christ and strengthen your foundation in Him.

Day 1: Building on the Right Foundation
Scripture: Luke 6:47-48

Reflection: Jesus emphasizes the importance of building our lives on a solid foundation. Just
as a house needs a strong base to withstand storms, our lives need to be grounded in Christ.
Reflect on what your life is built upon. Are you relying on temporary things, or is your
foundation in Jesus, the cornerstone? Here is an assessment you take to see what influences
you.

Prayer: Lord, help me to build my life on You, the solid rock. Guide me to dig deep into Your
Word and establish a firm foundation in my faith. Amen.

Day 2: Producing Good Fruit
Scripture: Luke 6:43-45

Reflection: Jesus teaches that a tree is known by its fruit. As followers of Christ, our lives
should produce good fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Consider what kind of fruit your life is
producing. Are your actions and words reflecting your faith?

Prayer: Father, cultivate in me the fruit of the Spirit. Let my life be a testament to Your love and
grace. Amen.

Day 3: Listening and Obeying
Scripture: James 1:22-25

Reflection: It’s not enough to merely hear God’s Word; we must also act on it. Jesus challenges
us to not just call Him “Lord” but to follow His teachings. Reflect on areas in your life where you
might be hearing but not obeying. How can you align your actions with His Word?

Prayer: Lord, give me the courage and strength to not only hear Your Word but to live it out
daily. Help me to be a doer of the Word. Amen.

Day 4: Loving Your Neighbor
Scripture: Matthew 5:43-44

Reflection: Jesus calls us to love our neighbors, even those who may be our enemies. This
radical love is a hallmark of a transformed heart. Reflect on how you can show love to those
around you, especially those who are difficult to love.

Prayer: Jesus, teach me to love others as You have loved me. Help me to see my neighbors
through Your eyes and to extend grace and kindness to all. Amen.

Day 5: Living Out Your Faith
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:10-15

Reflection: Paul speaks about building on the foundation of Christ with care. Our works will be
tested, and only what is built on Christ will last. Reflect on how you are building your life. Are
you investing in eternal things or temporary pleasures?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, guide me to build my life with materials that will last. Let my actions
and decisions be rooted in Your eternal truth. Amen.
