Crosspoint Daily Devotional May 19 – May 26

Crosspointchurchtx   -

Each day, take time to meditate on the scripture, reflect on the questions, and pray for guidance and strength to live out your faith. May this devotional help you deepen your relationship with Christ and strengthen your foundation in Him.

Day 1: The Faithfulness of God

Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-23

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Reflection:

Reflect on the faithfulness of God in your life. Just as the sermon emphasized, God’s promises are true and steadfast. Consider the ways God has been faithful to you in the past, even when circumstances seemed uncertain.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unwavering faithfulness. Help me to trust in Your promises and to remember Your goodness in my life. Amen.

Day 2: Worship in Spirit and Truth

Scripture: John 4:23-24

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.”

Reflection:

Worship is more than singing; it’s a lifestyle. Reflect on how you can worship God in spirit and truth throughout your day. Consider how your actions, thoughts, and words can be acts of worship.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me to worship You in spirit and truth. May my life be a reflection of Your glory and love. Amen.

Day 3: Asking Questions of God

Scripture: James 1:5

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

Reflection:

It’s okay to have questions and to bring them to God. He invites us to seek wisdom and understanding. Reflect on a question you have for God and bring it to Him in prayer, trusting that He will guide you.

Prayer:

Father, I bring my questions and uncertainties to You. Grant me wisdom and understanding as I seek Your guidance. Amen.

Day 4: Trusting God in the Storm

Scripture: Mark 4:39-40

“And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, ‘Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?’”

Reflection:

Life’s storms can be overwhelming, but Jesus is with us in the midst of them. Reflect on a current storm in your life and how you can trust Jesus to bring peace and calm.

Prayer:

Jesus, in the midst of my storms, help me to trust in Your power and presence. Speak peace into my heart and circumstances. Amen.

Day 5: Living Out Your Faith

Scripture: James 2:17

“So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

Reflection:

Faith is not just belief; it’s action. Reflect on how you can live out your faith in practical ways this week. Consider acts of kindness, service, or sharing your faith with others.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to live out my faith in tangible ways. May my actions reflect Your love and truth to those around me. Amen.
