Let’s Talk About It: Addiction

Crosspointchurchtx   -

Exploring healing, redemption, and freedom through Christ.

Opening Prayer

Begin your study by asking for guidance, wisdom, and openness to the Holy Spirit. Pray that God’s Word brings clarity and hope as you confront the topic of addiction — both personally and within your community.

Introduction

Addiction affects hearts, homes, and communities — but God’s truth offers a path toward redemption and renewal. This study invites believers to view addiction not just as a physical or emotional struggle, but as a spiritual battle that Christ empowers us to overcome.

“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36

Application

Personal Reflection

Spend a few minutes in quiet prayer. Ask God to reveal any areas of your heart entangled in sin or dependency. Write down what He brings to light.

Action Steps

Pick one action you can take this week to move toward freedom—seek accountability, install protective boundaries, or deepen your prayer life.

Community Engagement

Who in your circle might be struggling? Pray for them by name. Look for ways to offer grace, honesty, and encouragement in Christ’s love.

Closing Prayer

End in prayer, thanking God for His strength and healing. Ask Him for the courage to walk in freedom, and the compassion to extend that same freedom to others.

“For where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17
