Crosspoint Adult Bible Study

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” — John 14:27

🎯 Objective

To explore the biblical meaning of peace in the midst of life’s chaos — and discover how we can experience and live out that peace daily.

🌅 Introduction

Peace often feels out of reach in our fast-paced, distracted world. Yet Scripture reminds us that true peace isn’t the absence of conflict — it’s the presence of God Himself.
In this study, we’ll look at how key Bible passages reveal God’s peace through His presence, protection, and promises.

🌟 1. God With Us (Isaiah 7:14)

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

🔍 Discussion

  • Read Isaiah 7:14 together.
    • What does “Immanuel” — God with us — reveal about God’s character?
    • How does His presence anchor your heart during uncertain times?

💭 Application

  1. In what specific area of your life do you need to remember that God is with you?
  2. How might His presence change your outlook on stress or anxiety this week?

🔥 2. Faith in the Fire (Daniel 3:16–28)

“Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed…”

🔍 Discussion

  • Read Daniel 3:16–28 aloud.
    • How did Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego demonstrate peace and courage in the face of danger?
    • What impact did their faith have on others — even King Nebuchadnezzar?

💭 Application

  1. What “fires” are you currently walking through?
  2. How can your response to trials become a testimony of God’s presence?

🕊️ 3. The Peace of Christ (John 14:27)

“My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.”

🔍 Discussion

  • Read John 14:27.
    • How is Christ’s peace different from worldly peace?
    • Why must we receive it as a gift rather than something we strive to earn?

💭 Application

  1. What helps you seek Christ’s peace daily?
  2. How can you extend His peace to those who feel overwhelmed or hopeless?

🙏 4. Prayer and Peace (Philippians 4:6–7)

“Do not be anxious about anything… and the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

🔍 Discussion

  • Read Philippians 4:6–7.
    • How does prayer and thanksgiving open the door to peace?
    • What might it look like to let God’s peace “guard” your heart?

💭 Application

  1. Reflect on a time prayer brought you peace in a chaotic moment.
  2. How can you make prayer and gratitude regular habits this week?

✝️ Closing Prayer

“God of peace, thank You for being with us in the fire and in the quiet. Help us slow down, seek You, and rest in the peace that only Christ offers. Amen.”

💬 Group Challenge

Take a few minutes this week to pause — turn off the noise, breathe deeply, and sit in silence with God. Let His peace fill the space where worry once lived.
