Crosspoint Weekly Devotional | June 8-14
Day 1: Trusting in God’s Provision
Scripture: Matthew 6:25-26
Reflection:
Today, reflect on the ways God has provided for you in the past. Consider the birds of the air and how God cares for them. How much more does He care for you? Write down a list of ways God has provided for you recently and thank Him for His faithfulness.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your provision in my life. Help me to trust in Your care and to remember that I am valuable to You. Teach me to rely on You and not to worry about my needs. Amen.
Day 2: Shifting Focus from Worry to Worship
Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7
Reflection:
Consider the difference between worry and worship. Worry focuses on problems, while worship focuses on God. Today, whenever you feel anxious, turn your thoughts into prayers. Present your concerns to God and trust Him to give you peace.
Prayer:
Lord, I bring my worries to You today. Help me to turn my anxiety into worship and to trust in Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Day 3: Seeking First the Kingdom
Scripture: Matthew 6:33
Reflection:
What does it mean to seek first the kingdom of God? Reflect on how you can prioritize your relationship with God in your daily life. Consider ways to incorporate prayer, Bible study, and service into your routine.
Prayer:
Father, help me to seek Your kingdom first in all that I do. Show me how to prioritize my relationship with You above all else. Guide me in living a life that reflects Your righteousness. Amen.
Day 4: Understanding God’s Sovereignty
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11
Reflection:
Reflect on God’s sovereignty and His plans for your life. Even when you don’t understand your circumstances, trust that God has a purpose and a plan. Write down any areas of your life where you need to trust God’s plan more fully.
Prayer:
Lord, I trust that You have a plan for my life. Help me to surrender my own plans and desires to Your will. Give me faith to trust in Your purpose and to find hope in Your promises. Amen.
Day 5: Living in Peace
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:5
Reflection:
Consider how you can take your thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. Identify any thoughts or worries that are not aligned with God’s truth and replace them with Scripture. Practice this discipline throughout the day.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me to take every thought captive and make it obedient to You. Fill my mind with Your truth and help me to live in the peace that comes from trusting in You. Amen.
